Sometimes, you may want to update a video that's already been uploaded—perhaps with a higher-quality version or one that includes improvements or corrections. Instead of uploading a new video (which would require re-entering all metadata and updating all links and embed codes), you can completely replace the existing video. This keeps the original metadata intact, and all links and embed codes will automatically point to the updated version. Most analytics data will also carry over, though user drop-off and play percentage metrics will reset.
Both methods work the same way.
Once the upload and transcoding processes are complete, the updated video will seamlessly take the place of the old one.
