Uploading video

Uploading a video to your account

When you want to upload a video to your video website, make sure you are on a steady internet connection and you are using as modern a browser as possible. To secure the smoothest upload process, we recommend using the latest version of either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, as they both support our HTML5 uploader and can handle big file sizes.

The upload button

To upload a video, simply click on the "Upload Video" button in the top right corner of the page. Depending on the browser you are using, you will be presented with one of three different upload forms:

The HTML5 uploader

Either drag and drop files on the grey area on top of the screen, or specify which files you wish to upload via the "select from your computer" link. Then the upload will begin, and you instantly have access to specifying meta data for the videos being uploaded: You can give each video title, description and tags, you can place them in categories, and decide whether or not they should be published as soon as they are ready for playback.

Remember to press the "Save" button for each video when you are done editing the metadata.

The Simple uploader

Here, you choose a category that the videos should be placed in, select whether the video should be published as soon as it is ready for playback, and by clicking on the "Choose photos and video" button you select which files to upload.

The flash uploader

When the upload is done, you can give the video a title and description, and the video should appear on the video overview page where you can click your way into the individual videos and edit their metadata.

The mobile uploader

The mobile uploader

If you are uploading from your smartphone, you will see our mobile uploader where you simply click the "Upload" button, select a video from your camera roll and wait for the upload to finish. When the video has been uploaded, you can click on the link that will take you a page where you can give the video a title and description.
